Four goal in the last twenty minutes gave CHATS a 4-1 win over Ramsgate in the Robert Dyas League Cup.

The first half was entertaining but goalless. Andy Constable and Drew Crush both had the ball in the net, only to see the goals ruled out for offside.

Ramsgate took the lead after 54 minutes when former CHATS player Ian Pulman scored  from wide on the right, and for a  few minutes the game seemed to be slipping away from CHATS. But then Ausin Gacheru headed just over the bar, and on 71 we were level when goalkeeper deflected Ricardo Andre’s shot straight into the patch of Alfie May who scored from closed range.

We were ahead two minutes later when a good move saw Alfie May make a solo run down the left, and then score from close to the penalty spot. May completed a hat trick in the space of ten minutes on 81, and this one was candidate for goal of the season. He beat two defenders inside the area, turned on the penalty spot, and then fired the ball into the net.

James Alderman scored the fourth on the stroke of time, left with the simplest of tasks after then goalkeeper  could only parry a Gacheru shot, and we ended up comfortable 4-1 winners.
